About us
I am a life-long pet lover. My mission is to support and promote the ethical treatment of animals in business. Giant Pedigrees was founded out of the need to provide an ethical and convenient alternative to pet shops and pet farms, to enable Maine coon lovers in the South Africa and Africa to find world-class purebred pets from responsible and ethical breeder.
Too often i had seen horrific breeding practices in this part of the world; dominated by pet markets and commercial pet farms. Dams are over bred, often too young, and babies are unhealthy and brought up in sub-standard living conditions. They are usually separated from their mother too early, resulting in all sorts of health conditions, a lower quality of life and a shorter life span.
At Giant Pedigrees i believe in the ethical treatment of animals and insist that pet breeding must be carried out in the most humane manner possible. I will never deal with commercial pet farms under any circumstances.
I have an extensive network of SACC affiliated breeders, small family breeders and breed enthusiasts. I sometimes personally visit the breeder of every kitten that i supply where i examine the living conditions, verify the health and well being, and confirm the temperament, appearance and breed standards of their pets.
Prior to delivery, all of my fur live pets visit a qualified veterinarian, at least twice, where they are fully vaccinated, de-wormed, implanted with an ISO-compliant registered microchip and undergo a comprehensive health check up. All of my breeders are certified to be healthy before delivery. The new owner will receive the original, signed veterinary health report including blood test results.

We preferred all our BIRDS be pickup from our farm so we get to meet our buyers properly and make long term relationship, how ever if thats not feasible we can arrange delivery to your location.
We can drive up to 50miles each way for free within our farm in Telford Pennsylvania only.
We charge a fee for delivery 50miles+ outside our farm
We don't ship live birds outside united states.
We do ship live birds and eggs with USPS. contact us for further details.
All orders are fully paid before leaving our premises.
SHIPPING
As a private aviary, we focus on the quality of our birds. We are not a hatchery, we rather emphasize on quality not quantity. Our facility is located in Telford Pennsylvania
Breeding pairs are from different genetics to ensure you receive the healthiest chicks and highest hatch rates.
Eggs and pullets/Hens are ship USPS or locally pickup or arrange for ground delivery.
Live birds Shipping fee are charged at a flat rate -$89 up to 4 birds
Fertile eggs shipping fee -$21
We ship only in USPS approved shipping containers.
We ship through USPS priority express mail. 1-2days estimated arrival time.
Live guarantee on all shipment.
We ship birds out weekly Mondays- Wednesdays. No shipping on public holidays.
Tracking # will be email after the birds have been sent. Usually from 5-6pm the day of shipment.

Eggs are ship locally USPS l while chicks are locally pickup or arrange for delivery or ship 4weeks+ age through Delta pet transport service ONLY.(we talk about that further)
